Onae 2026

A new edition of the 2006 classic, designed to bring the original game back to current systems without losing its identity.

Development starting soon

A new edition of the classic

Crannsoft is preparing a new edition of Onae, La aventura de Zoe, originally developed in 2006 for ONCE-CIDAT. The new project will once again be developed for ONCE-CIDAT.

The aim is not to reinterpret the game, but to bring it back for current systems while preserving its essence. The original edition was built for Windows XP and no longer runs properly on modern computers, so recovering it requires a major architectural migration and, to a large extent, an almost ground-up technical rebuild.

Preserving the original

The project starts from a clear principle: preserve the logic, story, characters, comics, mini-games, game structure and gameplay dynamics of the 2006 title.

Players who knew the original Onae should immediately recognise the game. The engine and architecture need to be adapted to current systems, but the experience, pacing and personality of the title are intended to remain.

A restrained visual update

The visuals will receive a selective update so that certain graphic elements do not feel excessively dated. The intention is not to turn Onae into a visually different game, but deliberately to retain its character and retro appearance.

The images currently shown on this page are from the original 2006 game and are being used as reference material until assets from the new edition are available.

Planned production

Development will begin shortly. Once production starts, the current estimate is approximately 6 to 8 months.

As with the original title, this new edition will be developed for ONCE-CIDAT.
